Two Trustees Elected to Library Board
Albany voters selected two trustees, Jah-Raii Gause and Matthew Finn, for the Albany Public Library (APL) board in the May 18 election. The results were certified by the City School District of Albany Board of Trustees the evening of May 20.
The vote place order and totals were:
1. Jah-Raii Gause 1,816 (declared candidate)
2. Matthew Finn 102 (write-in candidate)
3. Lori Kochanski 87 (write-in candidate)
Gause and Finn were elected to full five-year terms that begin on July 1, 2021. This is Gause’s first term on the library board. Finn, the board’s current president, is finishing up his first five-year term that concludes at the end of June.
The next APL Board of Trustees meeting is Tuesday, June 8, at 6 pm. The meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube and recorded for later viewing.
