Baby Shower Aims to Grow Readers
Typical baby showers are full of fun and games, and celebrate the promise of a new life about to enter the world. We put a twist on the traditional shower by highlighting how parents can help their precious little ones get a great start through the power of reading.
The Growing Readers Baby Shower – scheduled for Sunday, April 26, from 1 to 3 pm at the Washington Ave. Branch – teaches parents how to read to their children in engaging and entertaining ways in order to enhance their development. Expectant parents, and those with children ages five and younger, are encouraged to attend. Bring along the kiddos, too!
We’ll have fun activities for everyone at the shower:
- Adults will learn tips and tools to make reading fun, enjoy shower games and prizes, receive a special tote bag and book to take home, have a chance to win raffles, and access helpful parenting resources.
- Children will enjoy stories, crafts, and active play.
- And, we’ll have refreshments for all.
