The Friends and Foundation of Albany Public Library

Your gift to the library through the Friends and Foundation of Albany Public Library (FFAPL) means the difference between good libraries and great libraries. With private support, we can enhance our buildings, expand our collections, and provide more programs for all ages.

Donate Gently Used Books

By donating your gently used books to the library, you are helping literacy partners around the globe while benefiting the library. We partner with Better World Books, which collects the donated books and sells them online, donates them to literacy organizations, and recycles them if necessary. APL and FFAPL receive a portion of the proceeds from the online sales of books donated at our two collection points. That money goes back into your neighborhood libraries to make them better.

Gently used books can be dropped off in the bright green Better World Books donation bins in the parking lots of the Delaware Branch and the Pine Hills Branch.
