Thank you for considering donating materials to Bookends, the Albany Public Library bookstore. Here are guidelines for acceptable donations:
Gently used paperback and hardcover books, CD audio books, feature film DVDS, music CDs and LPs are accepted. We do not accept magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, condensed books, computer books older than 3 years, and duplicated materials, i.e. copies of music CDs.
Donations are accepted at the Main Library, 161 Washington Avenue, at the Elk Street entrance during regular library hours.
Due to space and staffing limits, Albany Public Library can only accept 5 boxes of materials a day from one donor. If you have a larger donation, please call 427-4300 to make arrangements.
Some material may be recycled or discarded due to condition, subject matter, existing stock or format.
The decisions made by the library staff regarding the management of your donation are final.
A donation receipt can be given upon request. Albany Public Library cannot assess the value of the donation.
